Bimtal festivals-Hareli

The beautiful town of Bhimtal celebrates all the major Indian festivals. One of the major festivals in the town is the Hareli of Bhimtal. The festival of Hareli in Bhimtal falls in the month of July. This festival is celebrated as a harvesting ceremony in the late summer. At the Ramleela ground of the Bhimtal municipality many stalls come for this occasion. All the different goods sellers from the different places like Rampur,Rudrapur, Bareli,Haldwani etc. Come for selling. The locals and the people from surrounding villages gather for the annual occasion. Many entertainment events and cultural program is performed during the festival of Hareli. The extreme motorcycle and car event known as Maut Ka Kuwa becomes the major attraction to the children and teenagers.
